Thunderbird bringing back deleted emails and Inbox slow to load – Fix!

I was having problems with Mozilla Thunderbird where my inbox was slow to load and it kept bringing back deleted emails (the same group of emails kept returning everytime I restarted Thunderbird. After reading a post on the Mozilla forums I moved all emails that I wanted to keep and all folders that were in the Inbox into a new folder, then I quit Thunderbird, deleted Inbox.sbd, Inbox and Inbox.msf in the thunderbird root folder and restarted it again. Everything is working great now. I would guess that the inbox files/folders got corrupted.
